Tears as scriptwriter sues a Nollywood producer for copyright of "Okafor's Law"



Justice Ibrahim Buba of Federal High Court in Lagos has issued an Anton Piller Order on the seizure of a Nollywood movie Okafor's Law directed and produced by Omoni Oboli.



The Movie has been suspended  as the court also gave an interim order of suspending the release and launch of the film and can not be screened in any movie theatre or cinema house pending on the determination of a motion on notice before the court.

Jude Idada lays claim of the film Okafor's Law as his intellectual property. The plaintiff filed the suit through Anthony Idigbe, seeking an order, halting the premiere and release of the said "Okafor's Law", pending the determination of a copyright infringent suit filed  against Omoni Oboli.

The hearing of the motion on notice will be on the 29th of March 2017.
