Here are the leaders of the New Skool Music in Nigeria By MTVbase


Our class captain Yemi Alade also known as Mama Africa gained local and international recognition with "Johnny" in - 2013. Currently on her "Mama Africa" world tour, Yemi Alade has given us good vibes including "Ferrari", "Africa", "Na Gode", "Kofi Anan" among many others. 


Assistant Class Captain, Patoranking blew our minds in 2013 with "Alubarika". He has since given us great music like "Girlie O", "My Woman", "No kissing baby" among many other classics.
Falz, real name, Folarin Falana got his big break with the hit track, "Ello Bae" in 2015... He has since become a music and comedy favourite after releasing other club bangers like "Karashika", "Soft work", "Wehdone sir" and many more. 


Kiss Daniel took the Nigerian industry by storm with his monster track, “ Woju” in 2014. Realname, Anidugbe Oluwatobiloba Daniel has gone ahead to please our ears with "Mama", "Laye", "Raba", "Good time" among other jams. 



Ycee, popularly called omo alhaji gave artistes a run for their money in 2915 with the club banger, "Jagaban". Real name, Oludemilade Martin Alejo, YCee has since dropped bangers like "Omo Alhaji", "In a Benz", "Juice" as well as his latest EP, First Wave


Niniola, sultry Afro-House singer took us by surprise with her style of music. Her hit track, "ibadi" was a radio favourite throughout 2014. She has also blessed fans with other monster jams like "Shaba" and "Maradona". 


Simi, real name Simisola Bolatito Ogunleye got on our radar with the buzzing hit, "Tiff". She has since churned out hit after hit including  "Jamb question", "Open and close", "Love don't care" as well as the joint project, "Chemistry" with Falz. 
Reekado Banks warmed his way into our hearts with the love song, "Katapot" in 2015. Real name, Ayoleyi Hanniel Solomon and signed to Mavin Records, Reekardo has featured on some of the biggest hits in Nigerian music while dishing out hits like "Sugar Baby", "Oluwa Ni", "Standard" and many more.
Signed to Mavins Records, Korede Bello rose to fame in 2015 with "Godwin", a semi-gospel and pop song which topped many music charts in Nigeria. He has since dropped mind buzzing tracks like "Mungo Park", "Jantamanta" featuring Don Jazzy , "Do Like That" featuring international singer, Kelly Rowland. 


Rundown; real name, Douglas Jack Agu, is not a newbie to the music industry, Rundown got to the limelight in 2014 with "Gallardo". He has since graced us with banging hits like "Mad over you", "Bend down Pause". He has also featured in buzzing hits like Sarkodie's "Painkiller". 

Lil Kesh - Hot kid on the block, Lil Kesh took us by storm with his chart topping song, "Shoki" in 2014 and also introduced the popping "Shoki dance". Real name, Keshinro Ololade, Kesh has gone ahead to drop multiple club hits like "Efejoku", "Is it Because i Love you", "Ibile" among many other tracks.

Adekunle Kosoko, popularly known as Adekunle Gold got the attention of music lovers with his track, "Sade" in 2014. He later went ahead to release back to back hits like "Orente", Pick Up" and "Ready".

Not a newbie to music, Tekno Miles got his big break with "Duro"  in 2015 which topped charts locally and internationally. He has since released hit after hit for his ardent fans including "Pana", "Wash", "Diana", "Yawa" and many more. 
Oluwatosin Ajibade, popularly known as Mr Eazi blew up our airwaves with "Skin Tight" in 2015. He is signed to Wizkid's Starboy Records and has given us pulsating vibes like "Holl Up", "Sample You", "Anointing", "Leg Over" among many others. He also released his first mixtape, Life is Eazy,


Cynthia Morgan got our attention with her dancehall hit track, "I'm Taken". She has since gone ahead to dole out club bangers like "German Juice", "Olowo", "Bubble Bup" featuring Ghana's StoneBwoy.
