Things you dont know about Tekno

From Duro to Pana, Tekno has enjoyed a steady career rise since 2015 and it has all culminated in a record deal with Sony Music’s Columbia Records.
The deal, which has been flaunted by the singer and reps on social media, is reportedly worth $4 million. He joins a string of other Nigerian artists who are signed to American labels, including Wizkid, Davido, Ayo Jay and Ycee.As Billboard reports, it was the song Pana that got Tekno noticed. "Pana popped onto my radar through a viral video on Facebook of a couple dancing to the song on the beach," recalls senior vice president of A&R at Columbia, Imran Majid. "I heard it, loved the song, flagged it.""It's a bonus when an artist is coming out of a scene," he said. "There's a network of great artists coming out of West Africa, and this music travels very quickly in the U.S., in Canada, in the U.K., throughout Europe."The deal has led to Pana being re-released and distributed in the US. There was even talk of a remix with an American artist but this never happened and so the original was put forward. As Pulse reports, the deal covers three singles with Columbia to be produced, distributed and sold globally.
Last week, He was made the a Pepsi Ambassador.
